APIE Camp is a 5-day onsite camp which provides a project-based intensive curriculum for network design and implementation using skills and knowledge acquired from the APIE Online and APIE e-Workshop components.

It also includes collaborative sessions with REN (research and education network) operators in the Asia Pacific region.


Completion of the APIE Online and APIE e-Workshop components is required to join the APIE Camp.

Schedule and Content

APIE Camp programs will be scheduled four times a year in several locations in the Asia Pacific region.
(August, September, February, and March)

2022 Programs

The first APIE Camp 2022 program is scheduled for August 2022 in Tokyo.
The details will be announced in February 2022.

Future Programs

The schedules for future APIE Camp programs in 2022 and 2023 will be announced in September 2022.

  • 15 seats are available for the first 2022 programs.
  • Applications will be accepted starting in February 2022.
  • Your application will be automatically sent to the Program Office as well as your University‚Äôs coordinator.

The program is free to join and a scholarship for travel expenses will be provided for the first program in 2022.


The School on Internet Asia (SOI-Asia) will issue an APIE Camp Certificate for your participation and completion of the assignments. An APIE Program Certificate will be issued when you have complete the APIE Online, APIE e-Workshop, and APIE Camp components.
